CERTIFICATION IN EVALUATION OF DISABILITY AND IMPAIRMENT RATING: THE CREDENTIAL OF COMPETENCE FOR IMEs
Energize your Credentials!
The Certification in the Evaluation of Disability and Impairment Rating (CEDIR) exam is offered for each edition of the AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment (4th, 5th and 6th). It is given at the end of each IAIME course and takes two hours to complete. Attached HERE is the list of the 2015 CME Activities for test date options. If there is not a date on the list that works for you, contact us to schedule a time.
To register to take the CEDIR download the registration form HERE. On the application indicate which version of the exam you need. Along with the registration form and payment, submit a copy of your state medical license (if applicable), a current photo and a CV.
EXAM LOCATION (unless otherwise noted on CME Activities Calendar)
(312) 663-1171 Option 1
Exam takers will need the AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment (4th, 5th or 6th Edition). To help with exam preparation, following are detailed content outlines for the CEDIR V and CEDIR VI. These documents outline test question format and subject matter areas covered. Successful completion of an IAIME course alone does not guarantee a passing score on the certification exam. Examinees should understand course content AND the AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment edition pertinent to the exam needed.
The CEDIR exams are each timed, two-hour, closed book exams given in a paper and pencil format. Where tables and charts are required to answer questions, they are provided within the exam.
